This NSB (Never Seen Before) shifter is our complete redesign for the Audi A4/S4/RS4 platform. The original Coolerworx shifter for these cars was released back in 2015 and served thousands of customers around the world. It worked well, but we always knew we could push the design further — make it easier to install, better to use, and more solid overall.

In 2025 we decided to redesign everything from zero and build a proper, modern shifter for the B6–B7 chassis.

The Story Behind It

For this new model we bought an Audi B6 and fully 3D-scanned the center console. This let us engineer the parts with high level accuracy and design the shifter exactly the way it should be. 

One of the biggest issues with the old design was installation: the mounting plate had to be installed from underneath the car, which meant dropping the exhaust, removing the prop shaft, and taking out the whole OEM shifter housing. We wanted a better solution.

So we created a new CNC-machined adapter plate shaped exactly to the tunnel’s contours. Now the entire shifter can be installed from inside the car. No cutting, no trimming, no butchering any interior parts.

What We Changed

We didn’t reuse any parts from the old Coolerworx Audi shifter. Everything is new:

- new handle
- new tower/frame
- new mechanism layout
- new geometry
- added self-centering spring

Because the mechanism sits higher, we also designed a custom plastic cover (based on the 3D scan) that fits exactly where the OEM leather boot was. Clean, simple, OEM-friendly.

Engineering and Feel

We tested around 20 different handle ratios to find the exact one that suits the B6–B7 6-speed gearbox.

It’s not designed to be the shortest throw possible — it’s designed to be the right throw, with the right leverage and the right mechanical balance.

The final result is a shifter with a clean, precise, metal-click engagement that feels better than ever before.

Shipment processing time

All items ordered are manufactured within 3 – 12 business days depending on the current volume of orders.

Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or holidays.

Please, also be aware of the holiday season and sales: Black Friday, Christmas may impact delivery time.

The shipping time: ordinarily takes 5-8 days after the dispatch for a package to arrive.

Due to a higher volume of orders than usual (i.e due to Black Friday sales) shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please be mindful of possible additional days for delivery transit.

In case of a significant delay in the shipment of your order, we will contact you via email.

We make the purchase as cost effective and convenient as possible for you by providing a flat rate shipping fee – 25-35€ per item worldwide.

• Free shipping coupons and campaigns

During free shipping campaigns and coupon codes, free shipping applies only to regular shipping on orders above 200€

• Delivery Method

We use only FedEx couriers to ship in any case and for any value item. Each package also comes with a tracking code. You will receive it in an email promptly after we dispatch the order.

Notes:

• Some of the items may be delayed due to holidays, customs issues, bad weather or other reasons and force-major issues.
• In some cases, when multiple items are purchased at a single transaction, we save the right to ship the products in one single package or in different dedicated packages.

Customs, Duties, and Taxes

COOLERWORX Store is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping is an obligation of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.).

Refund Policy

We provide a guarantee to all products on www.coolerworx.com to be shipped to you within 60 days, otherwise, we provide a full refund.

Full refunds are not available under the following circumstances:

1. Order has not been delivered due to a customer’s fault
2. The order did not arrive due to circumstances outside the seller’s control.
