BMW Chassis codes explained
When ordering shifter from us you may be confused about what E36 and other codes like this means. Fear no more! It is very easy. BMW models and chassis have internal codes to easily tell them apart. These stared as E-codes, later got on to F-codes and now even G-codes. Every BMW production model, and even some prototypes and concept cars, are given a type designation. By using this table below you can easily find your car chassis code.
